The X-Files: I Want to Believe (sci-fi)
Cast: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Amanda Peet
Direction: Chris Carter
Critics rating: 3/5
Scully and Mulder are back. And the good news is they haven't lost their chutzpah. The unsmiling duo who was seriously serious about E.T. and other para-normal stuff, return to encounter one more bizarre tryst, as the FBI battles with the disappearance of its agents. And the heroes deliver once again, with enough punch to please all the X-philes out there.
Of course, they begin reluctantly, since both have left the FBI and tried to begin anew, seeking normalcy in an abnormal world. While Scully is a doctor, battling with inexplicable diseases, Mulder has faded into oblivion, still haunted by the memory of his sister who was abducted by E.T.
The FBI solicits their help in tracking a serial killer after their agent vanishes into the blue and a psychic priest has visions about her abductor. It doesn't take long before the non-believers become believers. Both Scully and Mulder end up in hot pursuit of a maniac who is on the brink of conducting one of the most hair-raising experiments in medical surgery.
Watch it for its gripping narrative and chilling climax.
