Rajnikant and Shankar’s magnum opus Robot has changed its title to Yantram. Now, the movie is all set to begin its regular shooting with two romantic duets on Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai in the exotic locations of Peru.
Two songs will be canned there in the long schedule of one month. Shankar who is known for shooting songs in grand style is said to have chosen the Peru for its serene beauty and unexplored locales on Indian screen.
Yantram is shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Shankar has also recruited special team the Telugu version.
Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd has registered nine titles based on Robot. The titles were registered last week at Association of Motion Pictures & TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP).
Film names registered by Red Chillies Entertainment are Mein Hoon Robot, Mera Robot, Pyara Robot, Robot, Robot a Hero, Robot Hoon Mein, Robot My Hero, Robotics, and Robott.
Interestingly, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was all set to act in Robot, a sci-fi movie being directed by Shankar, whose last offering Sivaji - The Boss broke all box-office records. However, due to creative differences with Shankar, Khan opted out of the film.
Shankar is now making the film in Tamil with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. However, although Shankar is already making the film hasn't deterred Khan. The newly registered titles suggest that Khan is all set to make his own version of the film.
Robot is simultaneously produced in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and two other Indian languages besides being later dubbed into English, Japanese and Malay. The extravaganza is being jointly produced by London-based Ayngaran International and Eros International.
